RoyalGala asked:
How can I get her to stop? It has become a habit for her to pick the healing cut on her nose. She is only two years old, so I am wondering what techniques I could use to protect the cut so it will heal. I have tried a bandaid, but she just picks the bandaid off. Any ideas?

I have a 17 month old daughter and she had a cut on her cheek. I put mittens on her hands, she thought it was fun to wear them around the house and she was not able to pick at her cut since her figers were covered.

There is a breathable clear bandage called Tegraderm, you can cut to size to cover cut, and by two years surely she knows what NO NO HONEY means.

You can tell her she will get a reward if she stops. But is she continues, something will be takes away. Never rub alcohol on a child’s skin; this could cause irreparable damage to a rear duct or adenoids of one so small.

Buy some “Nealsporne” and get a clear bandaid. Let her know if she leaves it alone she will get a reward.
