There is dichotomy of healing practice in health care service. One is biomedical and the other is traditional healing (psychiatric, telepathic, and spiritual). Despite the hagemony of biomedical practice and its wide recognition by all institutions, traditional healing technique is still popular both in developed and underdeveloped countries. I would like to know how and what forces that work in healing through conventional way.

Traditional healing practice works purely on ones belief and faith.Researchs have found that our mind plays a vital and effective role in healing.Studies have also shown that patients over a period of time develop faith in a particular treating physician. Its all psychology.Hypnotism ‘was and is’ recognised as a method of treatment.Which again is akin to faith or traditional healing. Our power of mind is tremendous.I remember to have read in a article, that our mind can heal as well as develop ailments by sheer influence. With traditional healing,an individual from the very start develops a faith in the treatment, and the power of mind does the rest by infuence.
