How do you apply Apple cider vinegar to your sunburn?

I have heard and just recently found websites supporting the use of Apple Cider Vineger to help sooth and heal sunburns. What I can’t seem to find is a technique for application. Are you supposed to mix it with something? Pour it directly on the sun burn?? Apply it using a rag, or sponge. Pour it directly into a bath? And if you mix it or pour it into a bath about how much do you want to use?? Please if you have no clue don’t bother answering my question. I don’t want guess’s, I want facts! Supporting links would be great. Thanks!!
For those of you who are recommending Aloe, I want you to know that I didn’t ask about aloe. I asked about Apple Cider Vinegar. Read the question next time!!!

I poor it on. You can use a lint free rag but that menas you have to touch the sunburn and that is something i always try to avoid. Drink a lot of water too. It will help.
