I have suffered an abrasion on my leg. - this class-2 abrasion is still dripping water, despite whatever I try to use (ointments or dry salves) on it.
This original injury was sustained two weeks ago as I was walking around my large acreage plot; %I was mowing my lawn.
I wear a prosthetic leg as the distal tip became infected.
What First Aid techniques should I use to heal this injury? - I did apply Triple Anti-biotic gel on this injury and cover it for 12 hours time immediately post-injury. The following morning is when this injury began watering. It has not stopped watering since then.
Now, two weeks later, I am still dabbing this injury with gauze pads and wiping it clean with liquid antibiotic.
What technique should I use to hasten this recovery? (What should be each goal in each level of recovery?)
Letting it AIR DRY is out of the question. - I need to keep my stump shrunken in order to fit my prosthesis after it is healed.
I am currently having a new socket made.
Thanks.
