Tattoos Don’t Hurt Enough?

healing techniques
asked:

This is gonna sound crazy, but I got a tattoo yesterday, and it doesn’t hurt the way I think it should. I have 6 others, but my last one was 4 years ago. This one was across the inside of my wrist (and it hurt at the time). I also had one on my bicep touched up.

I’m concerned, believe it or not, because they don’t hurt too badly today and there wasn’t a lot of bleeding, and the bigger one on my bicep isn’t “sliming.” Should I be concerned that the artist didn’t get the ink in deep enough, or are there new techniques/equipment that really help them from being so gross and painful in the healing process?

(PS - I’m also using Tat Wax brand for the first time. I used to do the Neosporin/Lubriderm thing which was the standard in the 90s.)

Are there any exercise that can speed wrist healing?

I hurt my wrist skateboarding about a week and a half ago. Basically I hurt it by constantly catching myself from falling by putting my arms out. It has been jammed and probably hyper extended.

I am not incredibly concerned because it has gotten better over the past week. However, I like to do push ups and I can’t put much weight on the wrist with out causing it pain. Obviously it is too soon and it hasn’t healed 100%.

My question is: Are there any techniques or exercises that will speed my wrist healing?

I can do knuckle push ups with out making the wrist hurt, will this have any harmful effects even though the wrist is not being bent? I imagine it causes unneeded stress somehow.
