The problem this time is no one is that excited or willing to stop this problem. They all say.. yeah it shouldn’t happen, but where is the action for changing the mind of the Governor Rick Perry and having him Veto the Bill.
The House Bill 2644 for Massage Therapy, was presented in The House of Representatives, Passed to the Senate.. THEN someone slipped in an amendment to include all the limitations for healing touch and it was approved and sent to the Gov. Office for signature.

I have a wicked canker sore right on the side of my tongue.

So far, I’ve scraped it open with my toothbrush and burned it with hot tea. It’s throbbing like mad, and I can’t talk or eat at all. I keep drooling, too, because the pain is making my tongue salivate but it hurts too much to swallow.

I tried Orajel, but it only burned a lot and relieved the pain for a minute or two. Saltwater rinses make it hurt even worse for a good 3 hours afterward.

Anyone have tips? Pain relief, healing techniques, anything?
Edit: Thanks, Mustang Sally, but it costs money for me to make an appointment with an orthodontist or dentist. And I’m sure that brace relief stuff costs a fair bit, too. My stupid job offers amazing medical benefits, but not dental benefits. I’m pretty damn poor, and I don’t want to spend that much…

Are there any cheap, at-home remedies you’ve heard of?

Oh, this thing is so painful…I couldn’t even sleep last night.

I’m a massage therapist, but I tend to do more cranio-sacral/energy healing, myofascial release, some rolfing techniques, passive stretching. I work on people sometimes fully clothed or sometimes they are draped…..doesn’t matter. Question is: Any advice on what to call this or how to market this other than massage? When I tell people I do massage, they tend to think of spa or salon type massage with lotion and pampering. I have my own style….just healing work…intuitive, sometimes joking and talking during the session, sometimes quiet, just carefree. I don’t fit the mold of “massage therapist”, but need a way to define my practice before I start marketing on a serious level. Muchas gracias
