What is the poetry technique called where a sentence carries over into a new line?

healing technique
dukieshane asked:

I don’t want to confuse the issue, but I believe it starts with an S. Here’s a simple example:

He ran onto the open field.
His broken leg had long since healed.
And so he learned the trick to wield
a baseball bat and never yield.

I want to know what it’s called when the sentence or thought carries over, as at the end of line 3 and beginning of line 4 here. Thanks!

How do I open my cat’s mouth to examine her teeth?

healing technique
lynmarie asked:

My cat is having dental problems and the vet told me to check her back teeth to see if the infection is healing or getting worse. The vet has no problem with it, but I can’t seem to open her mouth in a way that allows me to see her back gums. She resists when I try to move her lips out of the way. Is there a technique for doing this that makes it easier for the vet than it is for me?

HAS ANYONE EVER HAD A SHAMANIC HEALER PERFORM A “Soul Retrieval”?

healing techniques
ncee asked:

If you or someone you personally know has,did they feel it was successful, somewhat helpfull,or totally unbenefitial or a scam by the healer performing the retrieval.? I am curious what led you to this type of healer and for what reason did you have this performed,if you do not mind me asking? If you DO understand this question and have knowledge in this type of Shamanic work ,please email me with any healer contact you may have[if the healer is open to giving out this information and is practicing this art of healing either in person and/ or in distance healing techniques].PLEASE only serious emails,I do not need any nonscense by prankster’s with nothing better to do .This is a very serious subject to me. Thank’s for any help that you may offer.

Was I a guinea pig? Or did my dentist learn better techniques?

healing techniques
t s asked:

I had to have 2 lower wisdom teeth removed. My dentist, (a year or two out of dental school) said he would do the “more difficult” one first in order to get it over with. So it takes like an HOUR, and it was a horrible experience. I didn’t feel pain, but it was a lot of jerking and pulling to handle for 60 minutes. After it was over, he said “I can’t put you through that twice in one day, so we’ll do the other one after this heals” So i said ok and was just happy to get the heck out of there. So I come back to get the 2nd one out, he starts to work on it and I start having a panic attack. He says that I am too nervous for him to do it, and he refers me to an oral surgeon, where I would be put to sleep. So I go to the appointment for the oral surgeon, he looks at the tooth to be removed, and I then told him I had the other “more difficult” one taken out under local anesthesia. And he looks very surprised that a dentist would have done that while conscious.
He then looked at the healed extraction area, and said “well he did wonderful job”.
So basically i’m wondering, did my dentist use me to gain experience? or do you think he might have learned newer ways to extract teeth? The oral surgeon must have been out of school for 35 years at least, he was old.

The problem of belief?

healing techniques
Am I dead enough yet? asked:

Why is it that every belief system requires belief/faith (call it whatever you want)? Every religion says belief is required for any prayer to be answered or for any request to be fulfilled. The problem with this is that the same results can be achieved by atheists who believe that a certain healing technique can fix them. The New Age Movement has come up with many “crazy” solutions that atheists use, and while their methods have no relation to the actual healing, the patients who *believe* somehow get healed.
Doesn’t this sound mysteriously similar to the placebo effect? What if there was a god that did NOT require faith? You would just ask that god, thinking that what you’re doing is completely silly and childish, but the god would heal you despite your disbelief. It would seem that that would be the true god. The one god that separates himself from the placebo effect.
Paul, I mean for example Bio-resonance therapy.
onlymanolos1, the reason is this: no god has ever broken the laws of physics. To give you a specific example, a human has never been able to flap his arms and fly after asking a god for that ability.
